The below listed U.S. INS forms available for download have been approved for use by the U.S. INS, Records Systems Division, Director, Policy Directives and Instructions Branch, as required by Subsection 299.4.b.3 of Title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations (8 CFR 299.4.b.3), when prepared in accordance with the other provisions of 8 CFR 299.4.b. Please read and pay close attention to the specified guidelines for printing forms, as well as requirements for electronic generation. Other forms have been approved for printing and filing as their are exact similes of the originals.

Following are important guidelines for printing forms. Unless directed otherwise when downloading a specific form:

As of March 29, 1998, Fingerprint Procedures have changed for applicants applying for Naturalization and other benefits.
Be sure to download these important fingerprint instructions when you download any naturalization or immigration form.

Note: The filing fees for some immigration forms are changing. These new filing fee amounts are effective October 13, 1998.

You will need Acrobat Reader to view or print these forms in Portable Document Format (PDF).

Forms in PostScript format can simply be copied to a PostScript-capable printer.

Forms included here have been approved for use by the Director, Policy Directives and Instructions Branch, as required by Subsection 299.4.b.3 of Title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations (8 CFR 299.4.b.3), when prepared in accordance with the other provisions of 8 CFR 299.4.b.

The source for fee information for these forms is Subsection 103.7 of Title 8 of the Code of Federal Regulations (8 CFR 103.7)

The U.S. INS acknowledges that fees charged for applications are often beyond the means of certain applicants and that an individual may be unable to pay the fee for a particular service. Generally, the U.S. INS has discretion to waive any filing fee if the applicant can prove that he/she is unable to pay the fee. The U.S. INS has a policy that explains when INS might grant fee waivers. It also provides information on how the U.S. INS defines "inability to pay."

Many immigration or naturalization forms may have detailed instructions about where to file and those instructions may vary with specific circumstances. Although the U.S. INS has attempted to give a brief answer as to required fees and locations to file the forms shown below, please read the specific form's instructions carefully.
Failure to file forms with the correct office or with the correct fee will result in your application or petition being returned to you and additional delays in processing.
