J-1 Waiver Liaison Information

The Department of State has recently confirmed the following two (2) points regarding J-1 Visa Applications:

1. Attorney checks are always acceptable for J-1 waiver fee of $136.

2. The official notice from the State Department identifies alien/ J-1 participant name and case number -- even though some (many) have been going out with handwritten notations of case number only because DoS computer system has frequently been down over last 6 weeks.
