AILF Readies H-1B Litigation; Plaintiffs Still Needed
As AILA members ready themselves for the imminent announcement that the H-1B cap has been reached, AILF is prepared to file suit. But plaintiffs are still urgently needed.
If you represent a corporate employer who has a continuing need for H-1B employees and who is willing to serve as a representative plaintiff in litigation challenging INS on its counting procedures, PLEASE contact our litigators at AILF: Elizabeth H. Hamlin (EHamlin@ailf.org, (202) 371-6450 x610) or Traci Hong (THong@ailf.org, (202) 371-6450 x605).
AILF is prepared to challenge INS policies and procedures involved in counting H-1Bs. Remember that INS has threatened to reduce the H-1B allocation by some number of excess H-1Bs it believes it approved in error in FY99. AILF believes INS actually has under-issued H-1Bs.
AILF cannot file such a challenge in its own name. We need a plaintiff to represent this issue in court.
