Attached is a listing of the DV rank cut-offs thru April. These are the rank cut-offs which will be listed in each month's Visa Bulletin used for the determination of which DV applications can be accepted for adjustment of status.
INS Reports that as of December 31, 1998, a total of 59,108 H-1B visas subject to the cap had been used.
The U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) today announced that 798,378 persons legally immigrated to the United States in Fiscal Year (FY) 1997. The report may be obtained from the U.S. INS website as a PDF file.
Jan. 19, 1999, INS policy guidance on adjudication of I-485s of children who are about to 'age-out.' For a six month period, INS will adjudicate I-485s for children about to age out. Applications of family members would also be adjudicated.
All U.S. INS offices are instructed that applications for adjustment of status filed under the Diversity Immigrant program may be accepted for processing any time during the 90-day period preceding the cut-off date provided in the Visa Bulletin.
