CSC on Adjudication of Chinese (Russian) L-1s

The CSC Liaison Committee of AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) is currently pursing ways to possibly facilitate adjudication of Chinese (and possibly other national) L-1 Nonimmigrant Visas (Intracompany Transferees) which are subject to thorough scrutiny, resulting in long delays in adjudication.

The purpose of this project is to evaluate ways to improve the quality and speed of adjudication by:

1. delineating criteria which facilitate adjudication by distinguishing between genuine and phony petitions;
2. educating and training both attorneys and INS to recognize legitimate criteria; and,
3. providing a guidance to attorneys and their clients with regards to case preparation and presentation.
